Sam Markewich, M.A. holds a certification as a Personal Trainer from AFPA, one of the most rigorous and renown fitness training institutions in the U.S. He is also a licensed psychotherapist in California and holds a Masters Degree in social-clinical psychology. Sam will bring extensive expertise in the following areas to his work with you: fitness and functional training; sustainable nutrition; immune system health and physiology; sports psychology; visualization, guided imagery and clinical hypnosis; the psychophysiology of the body; mindfulness; and weight loss physiology and psychology. Out of his in-depth studies of these and related areas, he created the Eye-ItTM Body-Mind Motivation and Sustainable SportTM Nutrition Systems, which form the core of his training approach.
An avid long-distance cyclist and core fitness weight lifter, Sam has not owned a car for over five years, commuting daily up to 40 miles by cycling. He has designed and completed extensive unsupported solo and small group bike tours of Death Valley and the Eastern Sierra Nevada Mountains.
